Lindsay Lohan's Jewelry Trials Lead to...Trial
Paris Hilton? Eat your heart out!!
According to the always-legitimate news source, TMZ, Lindsay's felony grand theft case will now be assigned to Judge Stephanie Sautner - who's considered a tough but fair judge - and the preliminary hearing is set for April 22.
The bad news? Lohan faces both jail and prison as the case moves on - jail, if Judge Sautner decides Lindsay violated her probation, and prison, if Lindsay is convicted of grand theft.
The good news? If Lindsay is found innocent at trial and if Judge Sautner agrees NOT to rule on the probation violation until a verdict is reached in the grand theft case, Lindsay could get off scot-free.
Let's face it. What would life be without Lindsay roaming the streets with her mean case of sticky-finger syndrome? And I'm dying to see the courtroom couture! Fasten your seatbelts, looky-loos. April isn't looking so bad after all...
Lindsay Lohan's Necklace Nightmare
Yes, jewelry hounds. Just when you thought our Li-Lo was turning the page to more legit uses of our favorite shiny stuff, she brings us back to her warped reality where 'stealing' is somehow really just 'borrowing' with benefits.
The latest nonsense has Lindsay 'borrowing' a one-of-a-kind $2500 gold necklace from El Ray jewelry store in Los Angeles. The store claims the piece went missing right after Lindsay was seen wearing it in a surveillance video. Lindsay claims her stylist "borrowed it" and just didn't return it in time.
Whatever the truth is, it's clear Ms. Lohan shouldn't even be in the business of 'borrowing' until her probation is over. If the police decide to press charges (and TMZ reports this is likely), she could possibly go back to the slammer, where the only jewelry she'll be wearing is the kind of 'cuff no one wants in their jewelry box.
Get it together, Lohan.
Lindsay Lohan: Jewelry Lover to Jailbird
Lindsay Lohan was spotted last night at Ana De Costa's jewelry show in Los Angeles looking fresh-faced and ready to consume - far from the frightened soon-to-be sentenced drama queen we might have expected.
The jewelry show featured D-listers Brittny and Lisa Gastineau's new jewelry line, 'Tres Glam' which features their signature 'eye' theme - a power symbol known to 'ward off danger' according to the mother-daughter duo.
Too bad Lindsay didn't pick one up, cuz...well, it's slammer time again for our favorite tabloid fixation.
People Magazine reports the stunned actress was cuffed and led away by authorities after the judge sentenced her to prison until her next hearing on October 22nd - almost a month away!
At least she spent her last night of freedom doing something worthwhile. What do you guys think of Li-Lo's latest chapter?
Lindsay Lohan: Jewelry Debts and Jail Time

From her surprising love life to her "FU" fingernail fashion - it's never dull when Lindsay Lohan hits the headlines. And while her recent jail sentence is the latest Li-Lo shocker, it's nice to know there are still some things we can rely on when it comes to our favorite paparazzi princess:
Jewelry debts.
The latest jewelry offense comes to us from The Grey Lady of tabloid journalism - TMZ - with a report that a Hollywood boutique is suing Lindsay for an unpaid bill of just over $17,000. The 'first lady of leggings' apparently bought - among other things - a 14kt diamond ring worth $5900 on her shopping spree.

What do you guys think of Lindsay's latest transgressions? And did anyone see her jaw-dropping cameo on Bravo's reality show gawk-fest, Double Exposure? Stunning.
Lindsay Lohan To Show More Leg

Well, jewelry hounds, welcome to 2010. While it’s taking everything in my power not to write about Jennifer Lopez’s diamond-studded nightmare, I mean, catsuit on the Dick Clark New Year’s Eve special (I’ll let these hilarious bloggers do the work for me), there’s just no stopping 'The Lohan' from making my first post of 2010.
What this means for the New Year is anyone’s guess.
So news hit over the holidays that Lindsay’s 6126 legging line is going to expand into a full clothing offering with – you guessed it – a jewelry line due out in the spring of next year.
This means Lindsay, known for losing a purse full of diamonds worth 6 figures and ‘misplacing’ thousands of jewels from various photo shoots worldwide, is going to try her hand at jewelry designer for the masses??
But just when you think whoever is backing this venture must be as misguided as a Michael Lohan parenting attempt, think again.
Kristi Kaylor, chief executive officer of Los Angeles’ DNAM Apparel, which will manufacture the line under license, spoke exclusively to WWD about the expansion.“We’ve had amazing success with the leggings line,” said Kaylor. “We’re launching the full clothing collection next year, and a cosmetics line, handbags, shoes, jewelry in spring 2011.”
That's over $3 million worth of overpriced legging succes, according to reports. Who knew? The fall 2010 apparel line will include100 pieces (spring 2011 will be 150) with average retail price points running between $100 and $150. The 6126 leggings currently retail from $68 to $120.
While we'll have to wait to see details of the jewelry line, here are a few early drawings of the apparel offerings. What do you guys think so far?
Lindsay Lohan Jewelry Designer?

Diamond jewelry hasn't been old Lindsay Lohan's best friend lately - what with the high profile jewelry robbery going down at her pad and the many rumors that she, well, stole a bunch of it from various photo shoots.
Lately, buzz has been circling famous jeweler, Pascal Mouawad, that he and Lindsay were in talks to do a jewelry line for an 'un-named' (and misguided?) retailer. Could it be?

"Pascal would take care of it because I’m the only celebrity here.”
BUT - “Pascal said no, so she went and started talking smack about him to Jermaine Dupri who doesn’t even know her,” said an insider. “He was totally bewildered and couldn’t believe it. Eventually Pascal said she could have $2000 to spend but that was the absolutely limit.”
And there's global warming still to worry about.
Anywho, a glutton for punishment apparently, Mouawad told Fox that,
“Lindsay is a close friend of mine, who has a keen eye for jewelry. We have thrown around the idea to collaborate together to create an exclusive line for a retailer who has shown interest in a fashion line designed by her.”
My money is on this taking a back seat to another trip to rehab for Miss 'grabs-a-lot', but what do I know? What do you think the odds are, folks? Weigh in!Lindsay Lohan Jewelry Thief Charged

Snatching celebrity jewelry seems to be the thing to do these days with stars like Queen Latifah, Hayden Pannitierre, and Kim Kardashian all losing their diamonds and gems to folks who manage to break-in to what must be their D-list security systems.
But now, at least one cat burglar is off the prowl.
Prosecutors have charged teen hipster Nick Prugo with the caught-on-tape burglaries of actress Lindsay Lohan and "The Hills" star Audrina Patridge, according to the New York Daily News. The 18-year-old faces two counts of felony residential burglary and will appear in court Nov. 11.
Prosecutors say Prugo broke into Patridge's home Feb. 23 and stole more than $43,000 in jewelry and designer clothes. He then swiped $128,000 worth of jewelry and designer clothes from Lohan's Hollywood Hills bungalow on Aug. 23, they say.

"That's how I know it was not a robbery. Electronics weren't taken…just things that a certain old friend knew meant a lot to me," she tweeted.
Surveillance video was used in both cases to identify the accused felon. Prugo was arrested Sept. 17 and released on $100,000 bail. If convicted, he faces up to six years in state prison.
