Rock and Roll will never die / It can only live
An ad found on Craigslist today:

The band's MySpace page:

The band members' dad?:

His MySpace friends:

Conclusion: The Naro family is a Rock and Roll dynasty AND if my dad was in the music industry I'd have been in a band in high school.

All this seemed funnier when I first came across it earlier this evening. I promise my new website/blog will have much better stuff on it (I even made more clippings this weekend.)

Button Pick of The Week: Gas Stations
Found in a bag of assorted buttons purchased for $1.99 at Valu Village. This is my favourite button right now. I don't understand it at all. Who hangs around gas stations? Low-lifes who attract flies, by the looks of it. And that gas pump looks like a parking meter- what gives? I think this button is very old. Is that what makes it so awesome?
I'm going to be sad when I lose it.

CD Pick of The Week- Operation: Doomsday
I just picked up a copy of one of my favourite albums of all-time today, Operation: Doomsday, the debut post-KMD album by comic-obsessed underground MC/beatmaker MF DOOM. First released way back in 1999, this album has been out of print for at least five years now, making it a highly sought-after, hard to find item. Aside from being valued for, until now, it's rarity, it's also considered (by me, at least) as MF DOOM's best work, featuring top-notch tracks such as "Doomsday," "Red and Gold" and "Go With The Flow." A lot of fans point to DOOM's Madlib collaboration album Madvillainy as his best release, but as great as that disc is there's no topping DOOM rapping over his own beats, even when the production is as decidedly lo-fi as on this record. What's also lo-fi and equally great? These music videos for "?" and "Dead Bent," two other standout tracks from the album:"?" feat. Kurious
